Quick and Easy Chipotle Fried Shrimp

This shrimp recipe is so simple it might seem silly to give it it’s own post, but trust me, you have to try it at least once and you’ll fall in love with it.It’s quick, it’s easy, it’s versatile, but most of all it’s absolutely delicious! 🦐🦐🦐

For this recipe you’ll need shrimp (peeled, cleaned, deveined and tails off), salt, black pepper, light olive oil, dried oregano, garlic powder (or fresh if you prefer), smoked paprika, and chipotle powder.

After adding all spices to the shrimp, allow it to marinate for a few minutes before frying it in a skillet or air fryer for a few minutes until pink and cooked through with a slight crust.

You can serve it with almost anything from black bean, corn and brown rice skillet (pictured above) to  alfredo or pesto potatoes or pasta!

Quick and Easy Chipotle Fried Shrimp

This simple and versatile shrimp dish has just the right amount of spice and comes together in just a few minutes. Perfect as an appetizer or as a protein dish for those busy weeknights or lazy weekends.

Ingredients

  • 24 Large Shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 1 tsp Himalayan salt
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • 2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Dried Oregano
  • 1/2 tsp Smoked Paprika
  • 1/2 tsp Chipotle Powder
  • 2 tbsp extra light olive oil

Instructions

  • Add cleaned, peeled and deveined  shrimp into a bowl.
  • Add all spices and seasonings and mix well to combine. Let sit for a few minutes to marinate.
  • Add shrimp in a single layer to a hot skillet and cook for approximately 2-3 minutes until pink and the seasoning has browned and formed a slight crust. 
    You can also add shrimp to an air fryer preheated to 400°F (205°C) for 5-8 minutes, shaking intermittently to ensure that the shrimp is cooking evenly.
  • Serve with fresh cilantro and lime wedges. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 6 months.
