This delicious dressing is far better than anything store bought, and yes, I know you hear that ALL the time on all recipe posts but this time it’s true, I promise. And it’s not just knowing what goes into it that makes it taste so good, but just in a general taste test manner it’s absolutely delicious!
To make this dressing we’ll need some fresh lemon juice, finely grated garlic, stone ground mustard, fish sauce (the only ingredient in mine is anchovies which is an iconic element to a traditional Caesar salad dressing), salt, ground black pepper, raw cane sugar (finely ground), dried oregano, Worcestershire sauce, homemade mayonnaise, and finely shredded Parmesan cheese.
Making this dressing is as easy as combining the lemon juice, finely grated garlic, stone ground mustard, fish sauce, and Worcestershire sauce together…
…And adding in your mayonnaise, and spices.
Once you mix it all together, mix in all your cheese.
Depending on how thin you like your dressing you can add a touch of water until your desired thickness is achieved or leave it just as it is.
The end result is a salty, cheesy, perfectly spiced dressing that is ready to create the perfect Caesar salad. All you need now is some romaine lettuce, homemade croutons, and if you’re feeling cheeky, a touch more shredded cheese!
Homemade Caesar Salad Dressing
- Combine the grated garlic, lemon juice, mustard, fish sauce, and Worcestershire sauce together. Add in the mayonnaise, salt, pepper, sugar, and oregano and mix together. Finally, fold in the Parmesan cheese.
- Enjoy as a dressing for your salad or as a dip for veggies. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
- If your dressing is too thick, you can mix in a touch of water (1 tbsp at a time) until your desired thickness is achieved.
- Though you can use store bought mayonnaise, I highly recommend whipping up a fresh batch of your own Homemade Mayonnaise, not only do you know the ingredients that go into it, it only takes 2 minutes to make!
